God's Families International Adoption Services

Adopting Children from Ethiopia

  • Ethiopia is one of the most popular as well as one of the most affordable and expedient programs available today.
  • Infants, toddlers, children from ages 3 months to young teens are in need of loving, forever families

Adoption Program: Gods Families is pleased to announce that their partner agency in Ethiopia is one of the first U.S. agencies authorized and accredited to work in Ethiopia in adoptions and has a well established and developed program there, including assistance programs to help all Ethiopian citizens. We look forward to assisting your family to help these very deserving children find forever loving, permanent families. Poverty and disease have left a great multitude of children without parents. Some children may be available for immediate referral, or parents may receive a referral within 2-5 months of submitting their dossier. Families will work within numerous orphanages located throughout Ethiopia, with an average time frame of 9-12 months from program application to child/ren home.

The Children: Despite untold severe hardships and widespread poverty, the Ethiopian children are beautiful, resilient and eager to be in a family. Infants, toddlers, sibling groups and older children who are available for adoption are examined and tested for HIV, hepatitis, and tuberculosis. Parents will receive all biographical and medical information on a referred child, which will include photographs.

Applications are being accepted and families may request a boy, a girl, or a sibling group. We do allow the adoption of two unrelated children at the same time, one child can be age 0-24 months and the second unrelated child must be 25 months of age or older. Our partner agency maintains a photo list of waiting children/sibling groups available for adoption where you will email the Ethiopia staff to request photo list access.
