Adopting Children from Ukraine
God's Families is one of the first agencies working directly with its families in international adoption in Ukraine since 1997 and is registered with Ukraine authorities. It continues to be our most affordable program for couples seeking to adopt from Eastern Europe.

CHILDREN AVAILABLE |
- Children from 15 months, toddlers and children (maximum age is 16)
- Boys and girls available
- Biological sibling groups also available, typically ages usually 5 on up
- Medical information provided to adoptive parents in country including testing for HIV, TB, Hepatitis, and general health information.

QUALIFICATIONS |
- Married couples only
- State criminal clearance in good standing required
- Good health
- Reasonable income
- Not more than 45 years between adoptive child and parent

APPROXIMATE WAIT |
- Homestudy/USCIS/dossier approval in Ukraine required for travel
- approximately 9 months after dossier approval parents take child home (Ukraine government establishes travel date).

TRAVEL |
- All major European airlines service Ukraine including Delta, KLM, British Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines and Lufthansa (God's Families refers travel agencies upon request)
- God's Families bilingual in-country regional teams meet you at the airport and provide support throughout your stay.
- God's Families will coordinate all in-country housing, translators and travel.

REQUIREMENTS |
- (1) trip
- Child identified while family is in country
- Both parents must travel, one parent can leave after court hearing, allow approximately 4 weeks in country for completion.
- Independent medical testing allowed while in country (GF can arrange)
- All documents translated into Russian by approved translator (God's Families arranges)
- All documents apostilled on at state level (God's Families always reviews and submits all documents for its adoptive families to all authorities requiring apostilles and approvals at no extra cost)
- Self constructed post adoption reports (no social worker) and registration of child with Embassy in US (God's Families assists with these).
