Adopted Daughter

The Angeli Family

My husband John and I have had successful careers; myself in sales and marketing and John works in Industrial Systems for a Fortune 500 company. Now I am a stay-at-home mom. After about four years of marriage, we began trying to have a child, with no success; during this time we were not open to adoption. As we continued to pray for God's guidance and peace our desire to be parents increased and we became receptive to the idea of international adoption. We contacted God's Families who came highly recommended by a friend and were surprised how quickly the adoption progressed.

We completed the home study and Dossier paperwork requested and were soon presented with pictures of our prospective daughter. She was everything we could have dreamed of. We sent a doll with another couple traveling to her same orphanage and soon received more pictures of her with the doll! We already felt a special bond with her which only increased after we were able to visit her twice a day while in country. God's Families staff worked very hard at getting the processing and court hearing done quickly and smoothly. We were impressed with the way the orphanage was ran, the cleanliness and the caretakers.

We took our laptop computer with us and were able to hook up to the Internet from our hotel room. We spent much of the time between visits to the orphanage sending and receiving e-mails and digital photos to family and friends which made us feel very much connected to home.

Words can't describe how much we love our Carina, or the joy she brings us as we grow closer each day. She has many qualities similar to both of us and we often hear how much she looks like us. It is amazing how quickly she has learned English. We have been home for about 3 months and it feels like she has always been ours. We thank God daily and a special thank you to Jim Molter and his staff for helping make our adoption happen and especially to our family and friends for their support throughout this process.
