Daughter Adopted from Eastern Europe

The Prescott Family

Prescott family

Dear Jim,

First I wanted to tell you how much we are enjoyed working with your staff here in the Eastern Europe. They are both lovely, warm, hardworking people and we feel enriched by their presence and advice. We are so pleased with all of the work they have done for us. It truly is a pleasure to work with them.

We just arrived home (our Eastern Europe apartment) on the night train returning from Kramatorsk. The first child that we saw, Tatiana, in Donetsk is the child for us. She is very bright, active and sweet. She was bonded to her caretaker, and you could tell the caretaker adored her. I know this is very good. We could see why she was the orphanage favorite as she is very interactive, but also obedient. She interacted with us, but not overly so, I think she showed the appropriate amount of distance, but was not at all afraid of us. She has great balance and command over her body. She opened a ziplock bag of raisins and picked them out one by one than ate them, (actually, she started putting several in her mouth at one time once she realized how good they tasted). She is very healthy and bright and responded quickly to all the questions they asked.

I have watched the video tape we made of her four times now. Each time, she etches her way into my heart more and more. I am falling in love with her, and so is Jim. We believe she will fit nicely with our two boys at home.

We are returning on the night train to Donetsk tonight. We have requested that Dr. Yury come, and we are beginning process to line up the court date. We're prepared for anything, should things happen more quickly then we had anticipated (fingers crossed!). When I see all these children, it makes me want to take another home.

I hope you are all doing well. We are happy and I know as we spend more time with her, we will grow more and more attached. Best to you both and thanks for your help.
